Castlemaine Church of Christ

Pentecost Sunday signifies what is considered to be the birthday of the Church. the day the Church was empowered for ministry when God gave His Holy Spirit  as Jesus had promised. In Acts 1:8 Jesus had told his disciple to go and wait and “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” Peter later clarified the position of the Christian when he told a huge crowd that this promise was for them, their children and for all who are far off- for all whom the Lord our God will call (Acts 2:39)
